Josja Caecilia Schepman (1980, Gorinchem, Netherlands) studied free design at the art academy of Utrecht, Netherlands. After her graduation in 2006 she started working in glass studio De Oude Horn where she has worked until today and where she is learning the trade of glassblowing from Bernard Heesen.

Her work can be characterized as free, unconstrained and varied, it is always imaginative and in a way naive and it is what it is: what you see is what you get.

• Josja has collaborated with various artists and designers. To date, she works with Bernard Heesen, Debby Sihasale and Francine Vermeer.
• She has also done several design assignments of design and glass but also illustrated poetrybooks.
• Publications have appeared in local newspapers but also regional and national newspapers and in a number of catalogs of exhibitions. And in the book de Oude Horn en de emancipatie van het glas.
