1976 Opened the London Glassblowing Workshop
1984 Established Peter Layton and Associates Limited to work on architectural projects
1995 Moved studio to Leathermarket, London, SE1
1996 Publication of Glass Art by Peter Layton (A&C Black)
2001 The workshop is 25 years old; one of the oldest glassblowing studios in Europe
2002 Awarded Honorary Life Membership of the Contemporary Glass Society
2003 Received Honorary Doctorate of Letters from the University of Bradford
2006 Publication of Peter Layton & Friends to coincide with touring exhibition to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the studio
2008 Becomes Honorary Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Glass Sellers
2009 Moves studio to new premises on Bermondsey Street, London, SE1
2010 Appointed board member of Glass Art Society, USA
2011 Workshop is 35 years old – one of the longest running in Europe
