AVE CLARA | web

The restored Klára glassworks upholds the tradition of glassmaking in Polevsko (Blottendorf), where glass artist Friedrich Egermann (1777-1864) had already experimented with new technologies and innovations in the early 19th century. When he later settled in Nový Bor, it became the capital of glass art in Northern Bohemia.

AveClara s.r.o. continues to produce traditional crystal in classic and modern shapes and also specializes in hand-blown table glass as well as decorative chandeliers. All of the company’s work reflects the hallmark of superior quality craftsmanship and design innovation that easily lives up to the stringent standards of Bohemian glass and crystal.

Blending tradition with creativity, the glassworks also produces paintings and engravings. Its expertise includes working with gold and silver, glasscutting, and new technologies.

The creativity zone welcomes students, professional artists, and glass merchants who appreciate the uniqueness and artisanship involved in artistic and functional glass.

AveClara stands for the passionate creation of glass true to Czech traditions. The glassworks welcomes visitors who are interested in seeing how glass is made.
